Offering specific online SEO services is also another online freelancer role that businesses are crying out for. If you know how to improve a website’s SEO by doing keyword research, creating content that can rank in search engines, adding metadata / schema to posts and pages, and building backlinks to a domain, to name a few tasks, then this could be a great line of work for you.
5. Digital Earning: Cash Crate has been around for years, and has a ton of members. You get paid every month as long as you’ve earned at least $20 {which is SUPER easy to do}. I usually get paid twice a month, since I earn a lot, and it goes directly into my PayPal. {You can request checks too.} Sign up here- Cash Crate Sign Up. Swagbucks: Have you read the reader comments about this lately? It’s not just me- Everyone loves it! And you can redeem your bucks for PayPal cash, or Amazon gift cards, which for me are almost as good as cash! If all you do with it is use the toolbar to do your searches instead of using Google, you’ll still be earning free money—> with NO work at all! Love it. Are you a mobile user? Then check out Jingit – just download the app, check in when you shop, and earn free cash instantly. It’s not gonna make you millions, lol – but it is a crazy-simple way to earn free money doing what you already do.
Do you have a big ticket item or two that you only use part-time? We are living in an age of “peer sharing” which has opened a door to earning income from renting everything from RVs (RVShare) to sailboats (see Sailo). This works for smaller items, too. KitSplit lets you lend out professional cameras. If you have a desirable item that costs more than the average person can afford, someone out there may be willing to pay to borrow it.
Whatever way you’re looking to earn extra money and provide for your family, be smart and savvy and do your research. Unfortunately, there are many scams out there that offer get-rich-quick schemes and “tricks” rather than real tips. Earning money takes work, it’s just a fact of life. Yes, in life we occasionally stumble upon an opportunity or we’re blessed with talents that can help us earn more, but there are very few times when money just falls into our laps.
It works essentially the same way as the phone apps do above. If you don’t care to let Google know what you do on a daily basis, you can make money from home by letting them monitor your Internet usage. They use the information they gather to help them market/increase the functionality of their advertising programs when targeting users that are similar to you.
2. Survey Sites: Of course you know I’d mention these right? This is one of my favorite ways to earn extra money. Here’s a great system that I use to keep up, and do as many as possible with my really limited time: I set up a folder in my email {or you could set up one separate email address for surveys only}, and every day when I go through my email, I move all of the survey invites into that folder. When I have time, in the evenings or during naps, I go to my folder and start filling out as many surveys as I have time for. You’d be really surprised at how fast the money adds up! Here are my favorite sites that are legit, and I’ve been paid from regularly – {And, see for yourself from another blogger how they get rewards, plus see my checks I’ve gotten.}

Many big businesses are looking for social media influencers to become long-term ambassadors for their brand. This would involve you working closely with one particular band, and promoting their clothes, products, and services. You may also be restricted from promoting other brands, so check out the small print before agreeing to any long-term agreements.

Thanks for all the tips ! These work well for us senior citizens also…..in these economic times we need extra income to help in retirement . After we retired from our occupations in 2011 we found that we needed extra income and we started a Bed and Breakfast in our house. ……too much house for just the two of us and it gives us the extra income we need and we can be home to enjoy our 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild when they come to visit.
People are turning to audio and visuals when it comes to technical subjects. However, you should consider doing an ebook first and turning it into an audiobook through a resource like Audible's ACX platform. You can hire a producer either through a royalty share program, so you don't have to shell out upfront cash, or you can do a pay-per-hour hire as well.
You can work as a virtual assistant through dedicated websites, such as Upwork or Zirtual. All kinds of skills are needed, and compensation can vary anywhere between $10 per hour to $100 or more. Obviously, the higher pay will be to people who have more technical skills, such as web building skills and marketing. But you can find work doing administrative tasks at the lower end of the pay scale.
If you have a background in marketing and a passion for a particular niche, then organizing a virtual event may be just up your street. A virtual event could span across a day or longer. Individual live sessions would be run by experts in the field. And conference features would include live question and answer sessions, forums, and plenty of free giveaways. Visitors to the virtual event would pay to attend, so the more effective your promotion of the event the more money you would make.

Are you a professional in a field that can help answer questions for people looking for your expertise? Websites like JustAnswer and LivePerson match you up with people looking for answers to technical or professional questions. You can make money online by simply answering these questions and providing the right information to people based on their individualistic circumstances.

You can sell your ebooks through Amazon's Kindle program or Apple's iTunes Connect, which gives you access to a large majority of the digital-book reading market and the barriers for entry are incredibly low. You don't need to invest lots of money to make this happen, but you do need to invest lots of time, not only in writing the ebooks, but in marketing them as well.

Find work. When you first start out, you may have to accept work writing about a topic you don’t find all that interesting. You must keep an open mind and be willing to accept work that may not be in your desired field. However, as you continue to write, you not only learn about more topics, but you also build your reputation. With time, you can be choosier about assignments you want to accept.[19]
Love your suggestions! I like Superpoints. I’ve been using it about a month now. I have earned $145 in amazon gift certs so far. There’s a “super lucky button” you can push every day for points and you get points for referrals. Granted, I’ve joined a couple book clubs for my new little one, but the surveys are a great way to earn points.. and if you fall into the surveyor’s demographic/psychographic target, they can ask to call you for an “interview” and feedback. Two weeks after I started using the site, one hour of my time, and I got a $100 gift cert to amazon. And it was fun. =) I’m not trying to “plug” myself, but it’s invite only.. http://superpoints.com/refer/angiemshop will get you in. Oh, and my “angiemshop”.. I used to mystery shop.. you get paid to do things that you would do anyways. I moved from a city to a small town so I no longer do it, but I earned quite a bit.
Experience. Whatever area you want to work in as a consultant, you must be able to show clients that you’re qualified to advise them. If there are organizations related to your field, make sure that you’re a member of them. Similarly, if you can take a course and become certified or registered in your field, do it and then add that to your credentials.

Become an Amazon Associate and then use Keyword planner to find an in-demand niche: With more than a million different products to choose from and up to 10% commission the sales you drive, Amazon’s affiliate program is a great place to get started. Browse their available products and see what connects with you. Or take it a step further and use Google’s Keyword Planner to quickly check how many people are searching for a specific term. With affiliate marketing, the more relevant traffic you can pull in, the more you’ll make off your site.
With apps being constantly developed, competent app developers are in high demand. Again, if you have the experience or skills to create successful apps then this could be something you could end up working on as a full-time freelancer. Check out adverts for developers on Toptal, a higher paying jobs site for experienced freelancers wanting to make money online.
I know this is an old post, but just in case someone comes across it like I did. Another site similar to Swagbucks is Instagc.com I tend to earn faster there to. Also, try Perk Tv, it’s a mobile app you run videos on your phone or tablet and earn points towards gift cards. I run the app on an old phone 24/7 and on my day to day phone when I’m not using it, and I average about $10 in Walmart gift cards a week. You can run the app on multiple devices at the same time, if your earning points to fast they will email you. I’ve run it on as many as 3 at the same time and haven’t received an email yet.

Comfort. Perhaps the biggest thing that you’ll need to do in order to create a successful B&B is to make sure that your guests are as comfortable as they can be. Remember, they’re paying more for the experience of being comfortable away from home. As a trial, spend a night in the room in your house that you intend to rent and view things from a guest’s point of view. Is the temperature comfortable? Is the bath in the room, or at least a comfortable distance away while still being private? Is the bed soft and inviting? The pillows? Is the bedroom interior design, including colors, soothing? Can you hear household noises, or do you feel that you’re in a world of your own? All of these are important questions to ask yourself, but the answers will determine whether or not your guests recommend your place, or come back for another stay. Think about all the minor inconveniences and discomforts that you’ve just gotten used to over the years, and remember that a paying guest might not tolerate those problems for a night. You may need to spend a little money to fix these issues.
Accommodate Multiple Forms of Payment: Many deal-seekers carry cash, but you want to accommodate every potential buyer. So, in the days leading up to the event, consider purchasing a point-of-sale system that can accept credit cards. Square is a popular and relatively cost-effective option: it doesn’t cost anything upfront and bundles credit card processing fees into its own per-transaction fees, resulting in a net expense of 2.75% for most transactions (net of $97.25 for every $100 charged). This is a small price to pay to capture the ever-growing cashless consumer demographic. On the day before the sale, visit the bank and grab $100 in small bills and coin rolls to ensure you’ll have enough change for buyers who do prefer cash.

I believe there’s never really full balance as a mom. Some days work gets more of my attention, sometimes my family, sometimes, my friends, sometimes the house…. But I make sure that when I am spending time with Abby I FULLY focus on her and give her my attention – that makes her more likely to be ok with the fact that sometimes mommy is working. I hate feeling like I’m neglecting her by not always playing with her, but if I worked outside the home I’d see her even less…
Research. You need to know what others are selling before you decide what wares you will offer. Lots of people sell handmade items, but those who work hard to make their items unique in some way are the ones who truly stand out. After you’ve decided on a product, check out the other sellers on Etsy and find what they’re offering, and then figure out how you can do it differently.
Rather than making money through subscriptions, YouTube channels are based on a traditional advertising system. Meaning the more viewers you get, the more you make. Once you’re approved for the YouTube Partner Program and can start including ads on your videos, with every 1,000 views, you will make approximately $2-$4. Which might not seem like a lot, but if you have 100 videos with 5,000 views a month each, that would be $1,000–$2,000 already. Just imagine if your videos start hitting millions of views!
Learn then selling guidelines. Each marketplace has guidelines that define what you can and cannot sell. State and federal laws also impact what items are prohibited. In general, you cannot sell alcohol, weapons, service contracts, animals or event tickets. Also, while not always prohibited, you may find restrictions on how you can sell items in some categories, such as art, gift cards and coupons.[27] eBay, Craigslist and Amazon publish these guidelines on their websites.
White labeling products involves purchasing pre-made products from a supplier and then adding your own labeling and branding. Products could range from candles to gym equipment or even tea, but all will come without labels, allowing you to create your own new range of merchandise. Most suppliers will advertise the fact they offer white labeled goods on their websites, so pick your niche and then find the right supplier and product for you. Once labeled, products can be sold via sites like eBay and Amazon, or from your own eCommerce store (discussed in a moment).
While multi-level-marketing (MLM) companies sometimes get a bad rap, they can actually be a great way to earn additional income from home, as well as an excuse to connect with other people, and even a chance to earn trips and other rewards.  MLM opportunities run the gamut of interests from nails (Jamberry) to cooking tools (Pampered Chef) to scented oil warmers (Scentsy) to purses (31 Bags).
Just found your blog from Pinterest and am loving all these ideas. As a fellow freelance writer, I am definitely going to check out Examiner.com. Another great option for writers is Squidoo.com. It’s a profit-sharing site, meaning you get a portion of the profit generated by ad clicks. I have written around 15 articles on my Squidoo profile over the last year, and I make about $20 every month now. Lots of potential there.

29. Videos – This could be an entire section on it’s own. Many people have made money by creating YouTube videos. Evan of EvanTube is a kid and he has made millions by creating reviews of products that other kids his age would use. It’s not easy to get views into the millions, but once you do, you’ll start seeing some cash come in. Many bloggers have completely turned to videos to get their point across by starting a video blog.

You have likely heard of subscription boxes such as Birchbox and Julep. While almost anyone can start a subscription box service, they can be incredibly labor-intensive and the profit margin usually isn’t so great for those operating on a small scale. Did you know you could start a subscription for your knowledge that’s almost pure profit? With sites like SubHub, you can offer a monthly membership offering anything from meal plans to workout plans to crocheting patterns and beyond. The sky is the limit. You do need to provide new content on a consistent schedule to keep your customers happy. But if there is something your friends are always looking to you for new ideas, you may have an easy little side business on your hands.

17. Amazon – Have you heard of FBA? It stands for “Fulfilled by Amazon” and it’s getting pretty popular. Basically, you buy products (in bulk is best) and ship them to Amazon for them to store. When your products sell, Amazon packs them up, ships them out and sends you the money (after taking their cut). There are people making a full-time living from FBA, while others just do it for some extra money.
Tutor students. Many families prefer the flexibility of using an online tutor. Depending on your background, you could be simply helping a child with homework or providing college-level support. You need to have your own computer and high speed internet. Experience required differs among companies. Some require “strong experience,” while others require a specific educational background. However, most companies do require a college degree.
Don't sacrifice morals for a quick buck — At the outset, you'll want to do all sorts of things to make money online, but don't sacrifice your morals for a quick buck. Not only will you put people off, but you'll lose Google's trust. You also shouldn't concern yourself with things like Adsense or other ads on a blog before you have around 100,000 visitors per day. Yes, per day.
Call Center QA hires Telephone Mystery Shoppers from the US. To get started, fill out their simple online application. You do not need experience, but you must be at least 18 years of age. Each call takes about 5 – 10 minutes, and a few minutes to complete the feedback form. You'll earn $5 per each completed call, and they pay out in 7 business days or less.

Have a boat? Unless you’re living on it, you probably don’t use it all that often. Great news: put that idle time to work for you and rent it out with Boatsetter. This service pre-screens all boat renters for you, but you can view each renter’s profile and chat with each applicant to determine if they’re a good fit. You always have the final say on who can rent out your boat.
Some businesses may be interested in adding other types of paid content to your website. This could include videos, podcasts, or any other material that would work with your site and help a business market itself. Always make sure that paid content isn’t too promotional. It needs to add value to your audience first and foremost, and not just present as an advert.

Note:  There are dozens of other survey sites out there. These just happen to be the more well-known ones that have a reputation for paying out in a timely manner and not having impossible standards for cashing out. As always, be careful with your personal information. I recommend using an entirely separate email address for survey sites so they don’t clutter your inbox.

Set up a professional invoicing system and send invoices either bi-monthly or monthly. Use your computer software’s invoicing templates or you can create an invoice using Excel. Decided when you plan to bill and be sure you send invoices on the same day of the month to ensure consistent payment. Institute a 10 day late policy, if possible, to make sure payment is received promptly.

Anyone who has ever googled “work from home” or “make money from home” knows that the web is overflowing with sites proclaiming you can make thousands from the comfort of your living room, most of the time requiring you to first buy a book, CD, or DVD to learn how.  Since there is so much of this garbage out there, it can be frustrating looking for legitimate ways to work from home.  Below are some reasonable ideas to consider.

I am interested in the examiner.com freelancing. I haven’t written for anyone before and don’t have my own blog. Would that make it impossible for me to get in? I have extensive knowledge of parenting education, brain development, working in childcare, parent educating, etc. I would love to share my knowledge but not sure how to start. I don’t know if I want my own blog. What do you think?
Alibaba is a Chinese eCommerce store that matches Chinese suppliers with buyers all over the world. Prices are extremely cheap, providing the possibility of large profits. However, with the potential profits comes more risk. As you are dealing with suppliers in China, if the quality of the product that arrives isn’t up to standard there is little that you can do about it.
Has anyone ever told you you have a voice for radio? Are you great at creating original characters with just your voice? There are tons of people looking to pay for quality voice overs for their corporate videos, animation series, or educational videos. Check out Fiverr and UpWork or create a profile on a specialized site like Voices.com or The Voice Realm to get started making money online doing voice overs.
Consider your expertise. If you take the time to reflect on your experiences, you will realize that you have more knowledge about which to write than you might think. Begin by listing three assets that define you, such as your profession, a special hobby or a personality trait. Next, list three things that inspire you, such as religion, education or charity. Finally, list three of your dreams, such as getting married, traveling or spending more time with your children. These three lists should give you many ideas of topics about which you can write.[13]
If you actually enjoy putting together Ikea furniture or standing in long lines, you may be cut out for doing tasks for others. Websites like TaskRabbit can connect you with people who need help with a variety of things. Moving, cleaning, delivery and being a handyman have the “highest earning potential,” according to the company. Read about how to get started on TaskRabbit.

It doesn’t pay much, but if you’re a healthy person and want to make a bit of extra money online, the AchieveMint app will reward you for doing things like walking, tracking your food, or taking health surveys. AchieveMint works by connecting to fitness apps you might already be using like Fitbit, RunKeeper, Healthkit, and MyFitnessPal and then giving you points for certain actions. For every 10,000 points, you earn $10 with no limit on your earnings.
There are many ways to get people onto your list. Lead magnets are one such resource. For example, you can build ebooks, checklists and cheat sheets. But you can also do content upgrades, such as PDF versions of an article with added resources in them, four-part video training series, and more. Think about your audience and what you can offer them to better serve them, then treat them with some respect and you'll eventually reap the rewards.
6. Make Cool Stuff: Do your friends always ask you to make them jewelry? Are your handmade knit scarves always in demand? Then open up an Etsy shop and start earning money from that hobby! A source I have used to help contribute to our fun is by entering contests! I’ve won trips, tickets to theme parks and shows and great experiences our family would not be able to justify spending money on. My husband thinks I should play the lottery but I refrain lol I am also an independent consultant for Thirty-One gifts. I LOVE their products and for my birthday my husband gave me the $99 to start it all up. I’ve more then made up that back! It really is a low key company and I’m very open and honest with anyone who is interested in signing up! Let me know if you want more informations!
There are many sellers out there who’ve made a business reselling thrift store finds online. This kind of buying and selling takes a lot of time and dedication, but if you have an excellent eye for value and a love for thrifting, it can be a very lucrative business. (But expect a lot of trips to the post office and a lot of time spent researching.)
The company is called world ventures. You may have friends on facebook who post FUN vacation pictures with a blue sign saying “you should be here” or “thank you dreamtrips!”. There is a sign up fee and monthly fee of 50$ BUT the best part is.. you use that money towards your vacations you take so its basically like a big savings account! AND if you refer 4 friends (which I did my first week because everyone loved it) you don’t have to pay ever again! Then you just have access to amazing deals on trips (cheapest around or they pay for your trip if you find it somewhere else cheaper!)
For those with a large Twitter following, you can make money from your Tweets alone with Sponsored Tweets. You could be paid for sharing a business’s information, recommending restaurants or hotels, or tweeting pictures of you using or wearing products. As with all sponsored posts on social media, businesses will only be prepared to pay you to Tweet if you have a large following that you can influence. So work hard on building up a loyal fan base.
Mechanical Turk is Amazon's take on micro-jobs. These are small miniscule-jobs that you can do for other people, which they call HITs, or Human Intelligence Tasks. These are super simple tasks that anyone can do. Some examples are listing off some URLs with certain kinds of images for one cent, or recording a few phrases with a microphone for 6 cents.
Save money on food. I recently joined $5 Meal Plan in order to help me eat at home more and cut my food spending. It’s only $5 a month and you get meal plans sent straight to you along with the exact shopping list you need in order to create the meals. Each meal costs around $2 per person or less. This allows you to save time because you won’t have to meal plan anymore, and it will save you money as well!
Hi! Meagan. Found your most colorful and helpful website and blog while “pinning” from pinterest. Always love to discover new sites from and for us women. Very helpful and educational. Subcribed to your site. I just recently started blogging myself. Since I am a “newbie” at all this stuff I still have plenty to learn. I most recently formed my own home business doing something I am told I am good at and I have a passion for which is creating slideshows for people to capture every occasion and event in their lives. I sync them to music of their choice and have already started bringing in a modest income from my area of where I live but am ready to take it to the worldwide web. I already have a facebook page set up with samples of my work. I would welcome your advice on my blog. It isn’t even a week old, it is createamomentslideshows.wordpress.com please take a look at it. It is a blank page except for my business name and slogan and I have a video advertising it, that I created myself. Thank you very much. Sincerely Julie at createamomentslideshows & children’s storybook DVDs. P.S. I also create children’s storybook DVDs from your child’s photos and formulate a short story around their interest, likes , or personality.

Lynne Norris, who works out of her home in Pennsylvania (NorrisBusinessSolutions.com), says that rates for VAs run about $25 to $75 or more an hour, based on the types of services you provide. The startup costs are about $500 to $1,000, assuming you have an up-to-date computer and printer. Lynne loves the flexibility. "My children are happy that I don't miss the important things in their lives." Check out the International Virtual Assistants Association, orvirtualassistantjobs.com andteamdoubleclick.com for more.

I work for West at Home. It is a legitimate hourly job that takes calls for companies like Pro-Flowers, Verizon, HSN, etc. I take calls for a residential gas company in Ohio, working service orders, setting up payment plans and general questions about their bills. I work at home and I love it. I get paid by direct deposit ever 2 weeks and earn enough to support my family (I am a single mom). We are not rich by any means and live frugally but I do earn enough to get the bills paid. Each skill (job) pays differently according to which client you work for and each one has different hour requirements. You can work any where from 10 hours per week on up, also depending on which skill you work. You must have customer service experience. You also need to have dsl or cable high speed internet, a computer, and an office phone with a headset. They do require a federal criminal background check which costs $29.95 to begin with but you earn that back the first week you work. My only other costs are phone and internet service. You must also have a quiet work environment. I usually work while my kids are in school. Some jobs can be worked any time of the day so you can work while kids are asleep if need be. To apply you go to Westathome.com and fill out an application. All the hiring, interviewing and training is done at home, and the training is paid. I never have to leave my house for my job. I have been with the company a year and half and have really been pleased.
