While many people are in a rush to complete goals they set for themselves at the beginning of the year, I’m looking forward to new and innovative ways to add more money to my bottom line come next year. Lucky for us, there is never a shortage of new money-making apps and ideas coming online. Here are some cool new ways to make money in your spare time this upcoming year.

There are loads of resources for making money online as an affiliate. You could source products from ClickBank, Commission Junction, Rakuten Marketing, Share-a-Sale, Impact Radius and many others. Plus, many of the larger companies have their own affiliate programs as well. Do your due diligence and find the right company with a relevant product or service to your audience that you can sell as an affiliate.
5. Digital Earning: Cash Crate has been around for years, and has a ton of members. You get paid every month as long as you’ve earned at least $20 {which is SUPER easy to do}. I usually get paid twice a month, since I earn a lot, and it goes directly into my PayPal. {You can request checks too.} Sign up here- Cash Crate Sign Up. Swagbucks: Have you read the reader comments about this lately? It’s not just me- Everyone loves it! And you can redeem your bucks for PayPal cash, or Amazon gift cards, which for me are almost as good as cash! If all you do with it is use the toolbar to do your searches instead of using Google, you’ll still be earning free money—> with NO work at all! Love it. Are you a mobile user? Then check out Jingit – just download the app, check in when you shop, and earn free cash instantly. It’s not gonna make you millions, lol – but it is a crazy-simple way to earn free money doing what you already do.
I’m actually in a few of those survey sites but http://www.points2shop.com?ref=uin1419780958 is another one. In my opinion it has better payouts (and survey opportunities) than cash crate and inbox dollars with multiple ways to take out your money. Like most legit survey sites, it’s free. It won’t make you rich but it’s a little nice extra spending money :)
If you actually enjoy putting together Ikea furniture or standing in long lines, you may be cut out for doing tasks for others. Websites like TaskRabbit can connect you with people who need help with a variety of things. Moving, cleaning, delivery and being a handyman have the “highest earning potential,” according to the company. Read about how to get started on TaskRabbit.
So many people dream of writing a book, but never go through with it. Yet no matter what, I’m sure you have experience and value you could give through writing a book. By packaging your skills and knowledge into a downloadable eBook that helps people learn a skill, advance their careers, or start a businesses, you can change someone’s life and even make good money online.
If you’re a skilled writer, designer or photographer, consider freelance work. Many business and individuals seek out content writers, contributors and journalists to help craft their message and document their products. For those who love to write but aren’t ready for their own blog, freelance is a great option to test the waters. Check out the opportunities on ProBlogger or JournalismJobs.com, especially if you enjoy technical writing.
Now you’ve got many different options to start earning online. If you saw something that really interests you, try it out and learn more about it. If you’re really wanting to make a full-time income online, you need to be dedicated to learning how to do what you want to do. There are tons of free resources out there. You just have to search for them!
You know those top-down cooking or craft videos you just can’t seem to get away from these days? There are people out there making a living from them. 78% of B2C companies depend on user-generated content, like those videos, for their marketing campaigns. You can sign up as a creator on a site like Darby Smart and potentially work with brands like Nordstrom, Mattel, and BarkBox. Or, use them to build your YouTube following and monetize through ads and views.
There are many sellers out there who’ve made a business reselling thrift store finds online. This kind of buying and selling takes a lot of time and dedication, but if you have an excellent eye for value and a love for thrifting, it can be a very lucrative business. (But expect a lot of trips to the post office and a lot of time spent researching.)
Looks like this post is a few years old now but I just wanted to tell you that I think its great! It is so nice to see a post that advocates for survey sites. Too often I see posts about how they are complete scams. That can be very discouraging to read especially when there IS money to be made with surveys, particularly for moms with young babies. I have had a lot of success myself. The first sites I signed up with were Inbox Dollars and Vindale. I have since found better paying sites but I do love SurveySpot! My other favorites are Global Test Market and Swagbucks. Between the survey sites and other online jobs like forum posting, I have made several hundred dollars in just the last few months. It feels great to help out by buying items we need but that my hubby’s check just won’t stretch to.

There are many freelance options for graphic designers who are looking to make money online. Designing layouts and graphics for promotional material, corporate reports, magazines or book covers, are all tasks that businesses are looking for online freelancers to complete. Due to its flexible nature, graphic design possibilities can range from one-off projects, to ongoing work with regular clients.

Right now I’m pretty much in the same situation, my dad doesn’t have Alzheimer’s, but we just lost my mom about a year ago and he is disabled. He can’t do much for himself, and to top it off my little sister still living at home, is partially handicapped. Anyways, a friend got me into working with a wellness company that sells wellness products, I don’t have to go door to door, don’t have to deliver catalogs to my friends, family members or clients I simply refer customers and educate them on the companies amazing products! At first I thought it was a total scam, then I received my first check over $100, then my second check at $356. And those come monthly! If you’re interested in that, I’d love to help you get started! I love the suggestions on this blog though too, I’ll be trying a few of them myself!

6. Make Cool Stuff: Do your friends always ask you to make them jewelry? Are your handmade knit scarves always in demand? Then open up an Etsy shop and start earning money from that hobby! A few great sites to read for advice are Handmadeology and Everything Etsy. Sign up for their newsletters– They both have amazing tips and ideas! To boost your skills, check out cool online craft classes – like this bag-making basics course, on Craftsy – they are amazing. You could also check out a site like IndieMade LLC to help you set up your own website to sell your products, or sell at local Farmers Markets and Holiday Bazaars.
Yet another Amazon service providing the possibility to make money online is the Audiobook Creation Exchange. You can create a standalone audiobook, or create an audio version of your eBook as complementary media. And you can narrate your audiobook yourself, or Amazon can put you in contact with a professional to help. Once sold, you can then earn up to 40% royalties per audiobook.
This has become a popular business model for online entrepreneurs over the past several years, and will probably just continue to grow in popularity. The best thing about selling online courses is that once you do the up-front work in creating the course and setting up your marketing strategy, you can get paid over and over again for work you do once.
Find your niche partners, collaborators, and champions: As you’re creating your course, look for notable people who are also creating content in the space. Look at how their businesses operate and incorporate that into your own plan. You can also reach out to any influencers and make them affiliates for your own course. This way, they’ll be incentivized to share your content with their own audiences (which can be a major way to generate your first sales and start building your own community!)
Build your audience on a course community: If you’re just getting started building an audience for yourself and want to leverage communities already actively looking for content you can choose to host and sell your online course on a site like Skillshare or Udemy. These are easy, cost-effective ways to build an audience and test your niche to see if there’s demand for it.
Whether you have a website or are still dreaming up ideas for a blog, you can also look into affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you partner with brands and businesses within the content of your website. If you mention a product or service, you link to that produce or service using a unique affiliate code you received when you signed up for that particular affiliate program. From there, you’ll make money any time someone buys a product or service through your link.
